County Roscommon in Song

County Memory

The memory behind Roscommon in Song

County Roscommon is an inland county of fields, rivers, lakes, old houses, towns and quiet historical memory. It sits between regions and often speaks softly, but it has strong roots and a grounded local character.

In Ireland in Song, Roscommon can become a county of calm depth. Its songs may look at market towns, the Shannon, rural roads, churches, family memory, farming life and old stones. The tone should be warm, steady and reflective.
